Polymer Clay, Paint, 24" x 12" x 3", 2018, $750
My pieces develop organically as I work on them, and incorporate many materials: ceramics, glass, polymer clay, paint and found objects. I break and reassemble objects - a cherished vase, family heirloom or memento - to create something beautiful and new. I'm curious about permanence and temporary attachments and how these connections can present opportunities for growth. The objects may be missed but aren't really gone - they've simply changed form. And by overlapping and layering, I open my pieces to exciting possibilities and create art that is imaginative, vibrant, and tactile..
