Pink Paint Rag, No. 1
Pigment Print, 28" X 20", 2015, $300
My work occurs at the Intersection of photography and painting, and at the interval between time-based and static presentation. This is an area of inquiry ripe for interrupting the process of passive absorption and drawing the audience into a deeper conversation.
Bound in mortal flesh, limited by our five senses and dependent on language, we can only know through translation. I am attempting to create works that invite active participants to engage with their perceptions in such a way as to become more aware of the limits of translation.
