I'm interested in visual expressions on socioeconomics, politics, and the human condition. I've used clothing patterns for decades now in lieu of the human figure. I love the fragility, translucency, and mutability. When the patterns are taken as a whole, I love the extreme frugality in the use of space and the measured linear quality. I've not limited myself to the use of patterns. I've looked to other visual forms of expression.
I've tried to be aware of my own emotional and intellectual reactions to social, economic, and political interactions.
My art is about human interactions.

My academic background was at the University of Colorado in the visual arts, art history, and philosophy. I received my BFA and MFA there, as well as a teaching assistantship, and a graduate fellowship, instructing at the Boulder and Denver campuses.

Teaching positions involved; A Visiting Lectureship in Visual Arts at the University of Kansas, University Preparatory Academy, and The International School.

Exhibitions include local, regional, national, traveling, and international venues.

Before my university education, I served in the United States Armed Services in communications and cryptography; in the United States, Korea, and Japan.

Early years were spent in a suburb of Dallas. I grew up there with my brother and single mother. Part of my early schooling was at a boarding school, a Catholic Middle School. Later Jesuit College Preparatory in Dallas. During this time I developed my love of, and the need of, being visually expressive.
