The piece here, Symbiosis II, is part of a series from an artist residency at Fort Worden in Port Townsend, Washington, looking at the interconnectedness within a forest. Mosses and mushrooms, decay and growth, cycles of renewal, textures, scents, and colors that embrace us as a living being as part of a network of living beings.

Teresa Stern is a NW artist inspired by nature. She brings her background in sustainable architecture and eco education to her art practice and materials. She is the founder and curator of the eco advocacy project The Art of Sustainability.
