Amost Dawn
Mixed Media Collage, 20 X 16 X 1, 2024
Life is an intersection of many roads and angles. This object is purposefully unframed and is irregular shaped because that's the way life feels, but the sun is rising, providing a fresh start of the day! ALMOST DAWN is a combination of repurposed work and embellishments mounted on board.
My art explores social justice, community, and my bond with the Pacific Northwest’s natural beauty. A printmaker at heart, I also embrace the spontaneity of paper pulp painting. I layer stencils, shapes, and colors, using tools like syringes and hot glue to shape my work. My process is a visceral, physical response to the world—where clashing colors echo global unrest, and still moments offer peace. Each piece invites reflection on our shared humanity and the issues we face.
