Writings on mathematics and physics, both his own and others, have formed the underpinnings of much of his work over the years. New media net.art has been a new and very exciting part of his output since 2001. This medium has provided a natural collaborative venue for separate media (white papers, prints, drawings, paintings, sculpture and animations) to come together to present a more complete immersive experience to a global audience. He has exhibited his work in a number of solo (Portland) and group shows across the country.
Born in the Bay Area, raised in Southern California, Reginald Brooks graduated from Oregon State University (BS) in 1970, thereafter a degree in Medical Technology.
A painter, sculptor and writer with a strong interest in realizing the world without borders, his work spans between plein-air painting, conceptual geometry, and social-new media digital compositions.
New media net.art provides a more complete immersive experience bridging his interest in number theory that completely parallels an interest in defining the face of who we are.
