Chris Burnside
Passage (Cline)
Acrylic and ink on panel, 17x13 inches, 2025
I work from glimpses of happenstance arrangements that surprise me on streets, trails, and sidewalks. Through painting, drawing, and sculpture, I create layered compositions that explore the abstract qualities of our environment. My sculptural work often incorporates found or industrial materials alongside natural elements and asks how line drawings might translate into space and how viewers engage with form, slowing perception to allow for personal connection.
