Exhibition history: "Heroes and Villains," Columbia City Gallery, Seattle, WA, July 2023
My work reflects an underlying discomfort with how we isolate artwork, wrongly boxing it out as too precious, to arty, to be useful in understanding our daily lives. The incredible sadness of this has led to my deepening inquiry into our ignorance of the pervasive madeness of our physical, perceptual, and conceptual worlds—and into the workings and impacts of our inability to recognize that fabrication. This drives my use of media and my current shift toward interactive experiences.
